Last Sunday Hike: Nature Walk

This short distance trail meanders through arroyos and hills to give a great introduction to desert plants and wildlife for kids, beginner hikers, and wildlife enthusiasts alike. The bird blind at the beginning of the trail is always a good spot for nature viewing!
Bring: water, snacks, hiking boots/shoes, and comfortable clothes.
Optional: binoculars, hiking stick, camera, and a map.
Meeting location: The Nature Walk trailhead. As you enter the Tom Mays unit of Franklin Mountains State Park, stop and get you pass at the Visitor center, then continue down the road just past the Maintenance yard. It will be the first parking lot on the Right hand side after the Maintenance sheds.
